“Justice for witches means death.” - Fasada, September 3799
Mark these words!
We shall repay all evil with justice.
Vigilance shall preserve us.
By now, everyone must have noticed that the town's internal checkpoints are staffed once again. Those among us of a certain age may remember them from our childhoods. Our younger readers may need a reminder of how to properly behave when passing through them. DO: have your identity documents ready, answer any questions simply and politely, and remember to account for the time spent at checkpoints to arrive at your destinations punctually. DO NOT: write illegibly. I am sure that my fellow parishoners will join me in a prayer for peace and tranquility to return to Bexgate.
This week we mark the passing of several members of our parish: Simon Garton, Theodore Thistlethwaite and Morgan Lex. For Theodore and Morgan, our grief is tempered by the knowledge that their executions were necessary due to them having become involved in witchcraft, and we only regret that they were so led astray. Simon's death in the line of duty however has our unreserved sympathy, and we pray that his soul can be at rest and that his brave sacrifice will not be in vain.
