====== Player Characters ====== > //"The angels are not alone in Heaven, for those mortals who best follow our guidance and God's will live on with us there after their deaths."// > Bama, July 96 Once the game starts and characters have been submitted, this will be a list of the public bios of all the player characters. **[[abius_marshal@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Abius Marshal]] (he/him) / Jack G. (he/him)** - A Junior member of the clergy, he helps out in the parish of St. Renagi’s often visiting the sick and elderly. He is originally from Wesmarch and keeps in touch with family there but has been in Bexgate for a year in an apprenticeship to become a full member of the clergy. Often goes up to random members of the clergy to have a chat **[[adalli_nafaro@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Adalli Nafaro]] (he/him) / Daniel A. (he/him)** - Adalli Nafaro was once the youngest Commission agent grade q-4 in recent memory at the Commission, with a reputation for being uncaring and officious. However, after rumours circulated that he was involved in smuggling contraband, Adalli provided evidence to prove that it was his wife selling heretical literature. While publicly praised by the Commission for righteous behaviour, Adalli’s career came to a grinding halt. It was clear the Commission lost trust in the man who missed heresy of this magnitude in his own home and spouse. His reputation was mixed, and he has been seen less and less at the Church since then. **[[adonna_carrel@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Adonna Carrel]] (she/her) / Charlee W.B. (she/her)** - The wife of one of Bexgate’s elders and community figureheads, Adonna Carrel is startlingly unremarkable. A quiet and sombre woman, there isn’t much known about her beyond her status and presence in the city and church. In the rare times she does speak her mind, she generally goes unchallenged. This air of power, along with her lack of close connections beyond her husband, leads to Adonna appearing detached from those around her. However, most of the town have agreed it’s better this way, simply because they know they’d start to ask too many questions. No one needs to know why Adonna has never been seen without her lace gloves, or why most nights she paces at the edge of the city limits. No, they don’t need to know why they can’t remember her age, or why she carries an air of looming finality. The people of Bexgate have decided they might not want to know, and Adonna seems more than content to leave it that way. **[[amnity_thorne@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Amnity Thorne]] (she/her) / Aleisha L. (she/her)** - Amnity is an unassuming young working-class woman, known for her modesty and kindness. In her work as a tailor she is known to offer free classes to anyone in the community who may be interested. She is deeply pious but keeps mostly to herself, and lives alone in a small house on the town’s outskirts. **[[baru_krosa@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Baru Krosa]] (he/him) / Yineng X. (she/they/he)** - The old man has lived in the church for long enough that he has become a part of it. People have seen him serve as a gatekeeper, cleaner, merely all jobs a sacristan would do, but never any prayer. People never see him out of the church before, but whenever you come in, he is a friendly face to talk to. **[[brod_bakerson@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Brod Bakerson]] (he/him) / Alex M.-H. (he/him)** - Owns a bakery in East Bexgate which sells an indescribably good tasting bread loaf, perhaps the best in Bexgate itself situated near the train station allowing for lots of foot traffic and the easy transport of goods to and from the train station. Brod is a pious man who attends services almost religiously and follows the tenets of the faith without fail. Known within the community as a lighthearted and jovial man always willing to help those in need. **[[lucy@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Lucy]] (she/her) / Kaja (she/her)** - I am a potter – I make various cups, plates, etc. I am a shy and devoted person, following the scripture as best as I can. **[[oleander_green@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Oleander Green]] (he/him) / Aric S. (he/him)** - Age: 39. The proprietor of the “Green Thumb” flower shop, Oleander can usually be found in the store on Providence Boulevard. In addition to the standard array of bouquets, he will often help customers design bespoke flower arrangements for any occasion or message they may have. During services, he can often be seen musing over ideas for new arrangements, but is always willing to lend an ear for anyone who wants to talk to him. **[[rena_sawnes@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Rena Sawnes]] (she/they) / Danielle S. (she/her)** - Rena, 19. Born and raised within the limits of Bexgate. An admirer of art, she is very knowledgeable about the religious art she has seen nearly every day of her life. In fact, every day of her life is about art, regardless of whether this is the magnificent paintings and architecture, religious music, or scripture. Everything that she sees in this world where religion is a constant is one great masterpiece. Lead by her motivation to expand and appreciate her knowledge of said artwork, she is most often found in and around the Hall of Works, where she has been working for the past few months. She became more and more fascinated by the works around her in early teens, being an artist herself. Rena was born as the only child of her two parents, both devout believers and regular churchgoers. Despite their presence in the church, she has often gone unnoticed, quietly in the background amongst the congregation. Within all this artwork, within all this scripture, within this world, there is something deeper to be found. **[[seth_marlowe@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Seth Marlowe]] (he/him) / Jamie B. (he/him)** - Constable Seth Marlowe (19) is generally regarded as a kind, pious and popular young man. In his crisp uniform the keen junior policeman can be seen patrolling the streets of his local neighbourhood, always on hand to help out anyone in need, be it an old lady struggling with her shopping, a cat stuck in a tree, or a neighbour complaining about litter. In his spare time he volunteers as a youth asistant pastor at St Renagi’s, helping to organise the “Young Believers!” teen group, among other things. He appears reasonably popular among his peers, with many friends. His identical twin brother Sebastian can be seen around the church as well but is very different in temperament. Otherwise they are extremely hard to tell apart. His mother, Dr Rebecca Marlowe, is a local GP who also works as a doctor in the Special Institute for Biomedical Science medical centre. Seth seems enthusiastic about the Commission, and sometimes mentions trying to join. **[[sincerity_woodward@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Sincerity Woodward]] (she/her) / Liana W. (she/her)** - Sincerity Woodward (21) is a teacher-in-training at the local public school in Bexgate. She grew up in Bexgate, the daughter of the local greengrocers, and has 6 sisters. She is cheerful but maybe a little naive. **[[sullivan_odwyer@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Sullivan (Sully) O'Dwyer]] (they/he/it) / Nick W. (he/they)** - A 26 year old pretty shy junior pastor and caretaker who has served for the church for a few years. Originally born outside of Bexgate, but moved to Bexgate with their mother in their late teens. Assisted an order outside of Bexgate in his youth- some experience. Main breadwinner- writes and sends money to his mother every month. Known for being neat and diligent in their work despite making a few mistakes from time to time. Has a passion for the arts and creating mechanical creatures in their downtime which are powered with wind-up motors (wound up using keys) He mainly utilises these creatures to help around the church with any small odd jobs. Has recently become much more nervous than usual. Wants to become a vicar. **[[tabby_thackery@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Tabby Thackery]] (she/her) / Josie P. (she/her)** - The Thackery family, Boris and Minette and their daughters Renny and Tabby, are well known faces in the parish of Bexgate St Regani, often volunteering at the Church and selling reasonably priced ritual items in accordance with the scriptures. They claim to be direct descendants of Saint Regani themselves, and hold themselves strictly to the values they believe the Saint embodies. Tabby has never been particularly outspoken, often glad to hide in the shadow of her sister, but she has a kind, gentle way about her that makes her easy to talk to in the quiet of the church. **[[teresa@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Teresa]] (she/her) / Jessica H. (she/her)** - I am a faithful originalist worshipper, in my 60s. I believe in complete devotion to God and spend my time researching scripture and helping others to live their lives according to the will of God. The omnipotent God created suffering to test our faith and our strength against the allure of demonic promises so we must do all that we can to stay vigilant and protect ourselves from demonic influence. We must stay true to the core tenets, repent our sins and trust that God has a plan for us all. **[[theodore_thistlethwaite@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Theodore Thistlethwaite]] (he/him) / Harmann B. (he/him)** - I am Theodore Thistlethwaite, son of Theodoric Thistlethwaite (no relation), son of Thorsten, son of Thorin. But you, my friend, may call me Mr Thistlethwaite. **[[thomas_seton@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Thomas Seton]] (he/him) / Will B. (he/him)** - Thomas Seton is a quiet, unassuming man in his early forties. He came to Bexgate four years ago and can be often found strolling aimlessly around the town, usually talking to himself. He’s not known for much: he doesn’t get into trouble, makes the right amount of public devotion to God but not more, and although he’s amenable to a pleasant conversation, he always has this air about him that he’s only half paying attention. It seems like he’s going about his life on autopilot. **[[uriel_simmons@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Uriel Simmons]] (he/him) / Mark W. (he/him)** - Uriel is just your regular citizen of Bexgate. You may have seen him on his way to work in the local planning bureau. Maybe you’ve heard someone from his neighbourhood mention his name. Or maybe you’ve even attended one of his biweekly meetings. Whether you know him or not he’s a friendly face and a nice guy to talk to, and always open to a discussion, especially about religion. Uriel is your typical man in his mid-thirties. He has a mop of thick dark hair, dark thick eyebrows and is clean-shaven. His skin is quite a pale white. He’s a soft-spoken man, with a gentle tone. If you walked past him on the street, you probably wouldn’t notice anything interesting about him apart from maybe the faraway look in his eyes. **[[wren_kalen@conviction.oxfordrpg.com|Wren Kalen]] (they/them) / Alice D. (they/she)** - Wren is 19 or so. They stopped counting when the birthday cakes started tasting sour and the gifts meant delaying rent for the month. They keep themself to themself, seen only weekly in town to desperately count coins for bread and apples. People are fairly sure they talk strictly to the cats. Sometimes they hum a quiet birdsong when they think no-one is around.
