====== Week 2 News ====== ===== "Renagi's Readers" Parish Newsletter ===== ==== Consultation cancelled! ==== The upcoming consulation on the future of the fenlands has been indefinitely postponed. January Baxter, of Bexgate's Town Planning Bureau, thanked the citizens of Bexgate for their interest. They added that now is, unfortunately, not the right time to pursue the matter further. ==== Singles: Signup Soon ==== After the sensational success of last year's event, Singles' Night is back! Come along to St. Renagi's for a night of music, mingling, fun and flirting. Find the love of your life, or just a partner for a frivolous fling. This Friday, from 8pm. I, for one, can hardly wait! ==== Democracy speaks! ==== It's that time again already! Marie Dankovska is running for a third term as Governor of Wesmarch. Parishioners may vote for her in person at St Renagi's any day this week. Voting is also open by email to any Government office. Remember - polls close at the end of the week! ==== Travel constraints ==== It has been announced that fewer trains will stop at Bexgate station from next week, but the Government has reassured worried residents that this is only a temporary change. Normal service should resume in the near future. In addition, travellers are asked to check that they have all the documentation they need to travel before boarding the train, as this is liable to change. ==== Eerie Events ==== You've probably all heard by now that the church has been a bit different lately. Strange ideas abound, and while I suppose it's good to blow off some steam once in a while, and discuss what God means to all of us, I fear that too much sudden change might end up harming our wonderful community. I'm sure there will be an excellent reason for everything, and until we find out what it is, just take care. ===== █ Bulletin ◉ The Commission █ ===== //“Unreported evil flourishes like mushrooms in shade. There shall be no place in Heaven's plan for those who shelter evil by their silence.”// - Damapa, 3810 Mark these words! The angel Bagasama did reveal to us the following lines of scripture in the district of Ndizuogu: //"Let it be known! The rapid spread of Enkuan Knotweed threatens biodiversity, and stands to leave only poor soil and disaster in its wake. Be tireless in removing it beyond its native land until the threat is ended!"// Mark also: The Commission and its agents are the only defence against the demon, the witch, and the heretic. Our pastors, our friends, and even former employees of the Commission may fail us. The agents of the Commission never shall. Mark also: Marie Dankovska awaits your votes for re-election. Vigilance shall preserve us. ===== Conspicuous flyers ===== Flyers have been pasted around town and left in letterboxes. The flyers read: === People of Bexgate! === 1. Demons only intend to hurt us and their literature reflects that. We must be vigilant and assume that everything they say is intended to make us more vulnerable. It is naive to think that we will get the upper hand from reading what they want us to see. 2. We must trust that anything we need to know will be told to us by the angels and saints. We can and should study angelic revelations as they will guide us to where we need to be. 3. Remember that your faith is constantly being tested. Maintain your devotion and you will be rewarded. ===Vigilance!=== 1. Do not expect to be able to tell that a demon is disguised in human form. 2. Be wary of promises and gifts that seem too good to be true. 3. Do not enter areas known to be occupied by demons or knowingly interact with them, even if you believe you have good reason to. 4. Pay attention to the mannerisms and behaviours of others. If it doesn't seem right, ask a Commission agent for advice. You can never be too careful. Always report a suspected or known demon to the Commission.
